Thirteen days ago, I began a challenge for myself – I’d go for a walk every day for the next 100 days.
No other rules – except I do try for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Otherwise, no rules – no when, no where, no with who.
I tell ya – this is really working out for me!
Each day I threaten to go a little longer, a little farther.
I think it’s because although it’s a no-rule-kind-of-thing,
I find myself exploring . . . seeking out new places.
And if anything motivates me,
it’s the sense of mystery, discovery and exploration.
Just built that way.
Aha! An epiphany!
Linking pleasure and core desires to your goals works!
So far, I’ve found a secret grove of flowering trees –
where the ground is more potpourri than dirt.
There’s are magical places . . .
where Faeries and Pterodactyls roost.
Tiny treasures everywhere!
Blue horizons, golden sands, cool green depths await.
I’ve stumbled upon the secret hiding places –
where the local young ones party!
A hidden hill with a 360 degree view of my town.
(I swear no one knows it’s there – but me.)
Is this really exercise?
I haven’t noticed!
Too busy chasing wonder and delight!
